Board Director & President - Cheryl Miller (Term expires 2023)
Cheryl Carstens Miller grew up in San Diego and attended UC Irvine majoring in Information and Computer Science. After a few years in industry, she relocated to Colorado in 1985 and settled in the Telluride Region in 1987. She has raised 3 children and now enjoys 3 grandchildren. Education has always been a passion whether volunteering in the classroom or attending Accountability meetings. She was appointed to the School Board to fill a two-year balance of a term in 2009. Since then, she has served on the Uncompahgre Board of Cooperative Services, Colorado Association of Schools Boards along with the Telluride School Board with a 4-year break from 2015 to 2019.
Board Director & Vice President – Jill O’Dell (Term expires 2025)
Jill O’Dell began her first 4 year term on the Telluride School Board in 2017. She was reseated for another 4 year term in 2021. Jill grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and moved to Telluride in 1999. She met her husband Robbie in Telluride and they have 2 children, aged 16 and 12. Jill has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 1996 and specializes in pediatrics. She currently works in the Telluride, Montrose, Ridgway and West End communities providing Occupational Therapy services to children ages 0-3 years. Previously, Jill has worked as an Occupational Therapist with school aged children in Baltimore City and for 16 years in Telluride and the surrounding communities. Jill’s husband Robbie has owned and operated Oak (Fat Alley) since 1995. In addition to serving on the Telluride Board of Education, Jill has been a volunteer lacrosse coach for youth girls lacrosse for 8 years and serves on the board of KTIF and her HOA.
Board Director & Secretary - Stephanie Hatcher (Term expires 2025)
Telluride School Board member appointed July 2017 and elected November 2017 and 2021, serving as President for 2 consecutive terms. Founder of THS Entrepreneurship Program. Business executive of online meeting SaaS company for 6 years in Boulder CO. Prior to that, emerging growth service provider for 6 years Menlo Park CA. Raised 3 children in the Town of Telluride with husband since 2008.
Board Director & Treasurer - Dylan Brooks (Term expires 2023)
At age 7, Dylan attended his first Telluride School Board meeting,
sitting under the conference table to secretly record those public
deliberations. Dylan
attended Telluride
schools from K -12, graduating in 1989 before attending
Georgetown. He pursued a career in finance in London, Denver, and New York,
before settling in Telluride where he runs a financial planning business. Dylan
has worked on financial sustainability, housing, and is board representative in annual negotiations
with the teachers’ union, Telluride Educational Assocation. Dylan has three
sons who are Telluride schools long-haulers, and his wife Dawn is a substitute
teacher.
Board Director - Ryan Robinson (Term expires 2023)
Ryan is an operator and active investor in Search Fund entrepreneurs and the companies they acquire. He currently sits on several search fund company boards. Ryan was the Chairman and President of OnRamp, a provider of high security cloud computing services for companies with sensitive data in healthcare, financial services, and education. Ryan, partner Lucas Braun, and a group of investors acquired OnRamp through their fund, Brown Robin Capital. After running the business for almost nine years, Ryan and the investor group exited to a strategic buyer in July 2018. Prior to founding Brown Robin Capital, Ryan worked for Aero Logistics, where he managed a wide variety of operational areas. Ryan also spent many years working as an investment professional at Farallon Capital Management.
Ryan earned an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated cum laude. He currently lives in Telluride, CO with his wife and three children.
